Fruit Ninja Tips: Helping You Gain a Higher Score!

lice fruit together to get combos. When you get a combo (slicing more than 2 fruits at the same time) you get extra points. Example: You slice 4 fruit at the same time, You get 4 extra points! If you slice 6 at the same time, you get 6 extra points.

If you slice enough combos, you'll get one of those, gaining extra points. but with more points. Different Blitz: Combo Blitz: 5 points plus combos. Received after 3 combos in a row. Great Blitz: 10 points plus combos. Received after 6 combos in a row. Awesome Blitz: 15 points plus combos. Received after 9 combos in a row. Super Blitz: 20 points plus combos. Receive after 12 combos in a row. Hyper Blitz: Get 25 extra points plus combos. Receive after 15 combos in a row. Unbelievable Blitz: 30 extra points plus combos. Receive after 18 combos in a row. If you get more combos after the Unbelievable Blitz, you will keep receiving it every 3 nonstop combos until you stop hitting nonstop combos.

There are 3 different bananas; frenzy, freeze, and double points. Frenzies will bring you nonstop fruit without bombs for a short period of time, freeze will freeze your time and make your fruit go slow motion (great for hitting combos!) for a short period of time, and double points will double your points (including extras from combos and blitz.)
  • Keep your finger on the screen: This may not be every gamer’s cup of tea, but I find keeping my finger on the screen means you can react more swiftly to cut the fruit when it is thrown up. Having your finger off the screen means you need that split second longer to attack the fruit. Of course the downside to this is you may end up reacting to a bomb as opposed to the fruit. Be careful and listen out for the sizzling noise of a bomb.
  • Fix your focus: This is actually a universal idea for reacting faster to a change of your visual environment in many games or in real life circumstances! By fixing your focus on a particular point in your line of sight you will react faster to any change of your visual environment. This means in the case of the Fruit Ninja game that you will be able react to the fruit coming onto the screen much faster than if your eyes are flickering around all the time.
  • Avoid aggressive screen pressing: Never press too hard on the screen. This is quite easily done without realizing. As the game get’s more intense, so will the energy you apply through your finger(s) to the screen. Instead think of the game as painting your master piece with a light stroke of a paint brush. A very light touch of the finger allows you to move the sword more fluidly and swiftly. You will find you slice alot more fruit this way.
  • Try to combine special bananas (arcade mode): When the banana(s) appear on the screen make them your first priority. Missing even one banana can mean the difference between beating or failing to conquer your high score. Combining two bananas will give you a very powerful opportunity to rack up the points. For example if you combine a freeze banana with a frenzy banana you will be able to slice through a massive amount of fruit very easily in one foul swoop of your sword. This will gain you a whopping score and bonus at the end of the sixty seconds.
  • Don’t be too hasty: Try not to be too hasty when fruit appears. Slicing every piece of fruit as soon as it comes onto the screen is not always the best option – especially in arcade mode. Instead wait for as many fruits as possible to be lined up either horizontally or vertically before making your decisive slice. This will create a combo where you will not only receive one point for each piece of fruit but also a good bonus when the game ends. These bonuses are stacked together and added to your final score.
  • Avoid hitting any purple bombs (arcade mode): Avoiding purple bombs may be an obvious point to make, with the minus10 bonus being very apparent at the time of your mishap. But if you have failed to avoid all bombs before in arcade mode you will not realize that there is a bonus awarded for this achievement at the end of the game. This should now make avoiding bombs an even bigger priority.
